The brown hare is found throughout Britain and is a much loved resident of our countryside.

Stoats are able to turn white during the cold winter months as they pass on a generic trait known as ermine. Being camouflaged helps to protect the species from predators in the snow.

Wood mice are beautiful with abundant populations here in the UK.

The ivy bee illustrated here has benefited from global warming and is now found throughout much of Britain, especially in late summer.

The plants illustrated are all to be found in any hedgerow along with an assortment of winter berries.
